Why should travelers visit the Great Sphinx of Giza in Egypt?

In Giza, near Cairo (a depression south of the Khafre Pyramid), there is a giant human head and a lion's body structure, which is initially known as the Great Sphinx of Giza. This huge statue is the first truly giant royal sculpture in Egypt, known as the Great Sphinx, a national symbol of ancient and modern Egypt. For centuries it has stimulated the imagination of poets, scholars, adventurers, and tourists, and has also aroused much speculation about its age, its significance, and the secrets it may preserve.

The word "Sphinx," meaning "strangler," is the Greek first to use a woman's head, lion's body and birds to the mythical creatures. There are many sphinxes in Egypt, usually wearing kings and wearing a headdress with the lion body. However, the Sphinx is the ram avatar associated with God Amun.
If you visit the Great Sphinx, it is in the northeast of the Chephren Valley Temple. It used to be a quarry. It is believed that Khafre’s workers molded this stone into a lion 4,500 years ago and treated it as the king's face. Khafre’s name is also mentioned on the fantastic monument between claws. However, no one has determined that it is actually the face of Khafre, although it is indeed an advantage of thought. However, it has recently been suggested that the Khufu, who built the Great Pyramid, may also have built the Great Sphinx.

The Sphinx is considered the largest human stone sculpture ever. However, it must be pointed out that Sphinx is not an isolated monument and must be inspected around it. Specifically, like many ancient Egyptian monuments, this complex includes not only the great statue itself but also ancient temples, the New Kingdom buildings and other small buildings. It is also closely related to Craft Valley Temple, which has four giant Sphinxes, each measuring more than 26 feet.

There at the Giza pyramids and Sphinxes, you will see many things to do and your guide(ask-aladdin) will also let you know about many pictures poses that you can use to give a great shot. Many people there take a Kissy or pout- pose with Sphinxes from the distance which looks like that the person has gained the height exactly same to the Sphinx and both giving pout pose for a great click.

Sphinx material is a combination of limestone bedrock, to which geologists called Muqqatam, originated in sediments deposited at the bottom of the Middle Ages 50 million years ago. A bank is formed along the plateau north-northwest plateau. This small, plate-shaped fossil is named after the Latin "coin" that contains the dam. Shell of this extinct plankton. There are a shallow bank and coral reef on the southern embankment. The carbonate mud deposited in the lagoon was petrified to a large sphinx carved by ancient builders 50 million years later.

Fine limestone around the head of the Sphinx is likely to have been excavated to build the pyramid. Apparently limestone was used to shape the body of the beast, apparently used to build two temples east of the Sphinx, on a terrace below the sphinx wall, one almost directly in front of the paw and the other To the south of the first one.
